Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is among the most efficient combinations I've tested. Its base station has an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping performance is strong and its AI mapping excels at eliminating obstacles. It is also able to stop the cleaning process and then resume from where it was when it stopped.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most sophisticated 2-in-1 mop and robot vacuum cleaners available today. It comes with an elegant self-emptying Clean Base that can accommodate up to two full mopping cycles and is designed to resemble a tiny table. It is also the only robot we've tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and refills the cleaning pads after every vacuum and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed in a discreet manner at the top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and begins to scrub. It moves slowly over surfaces to avoid spreading wet or muddy spills across carpeted areas. It does a great job of keeping itself clear of cords, furniture and other obstacles.
It's more intelligent than other robot vacuums, too thanks to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to customize your cleaner's settings prioritize rooms based on dirtiness set schedules and cleaning times, and more. The app provides you with detailed maps of your house and seasonal recommendations, as well as customized cleaning routines, as well as a variety of smart home integrations that are easy to use.

Its advanced mopping features include two spinning pads and electronically controlled water, as well as a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures a thorough cleaning of all edges.
In terms of navigation, the M12 utilizes LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors are adept at picking up larger objects such as HVAC vents and furniture. However, they can struggle with smaller objects, like cables and rags that are small, which can cause the robot to miss spots.
The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to clean and dry mop brushes and replenish its water tank. When the batteries are exhausted, the OMNI Station is able to clean itself and empty the trash bin when its batteries are low.

Its mop cleans itself between uses, a feature that lowers maintenance costs and helps keep the pads clean. A dock sensor detects when a mop pad becomes dirty and initiates a wash cycle.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors has an intelligent system that can detect household items such as shoes and pet waste using a combination of a camera and LIDAR. It did well in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance with just one minor glitch during my tests (it got stuck unwinding a wool ball that was caught in its brush arm).

5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be user-friendly. The base station, which is gunmetal-colored, is self-emptying and fills its own tank with clean water, automatically empties the dust bin into a smaller container, and washes and dries its own mop pad during cleaning sessions. It comes with advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and eliminate pet hair from carpets, and clean raised room thresholds.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping capabilities, due to the internal dToF system. It can keep a low-profile while still providing excellent detection of objects. It can drive close to walls without hitting them and avoids steps, and also automatically raises its mop when driving over rugs or short-pile carpets. However, it struggled in the presence of longer-pile carpets as well as some long, thick messes of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to be used right from the moment you purchase it, and it just requires a quick mapping run to discover your home. After that, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined when needed. You can set virtual boundaries, as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you don't want your robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors due to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it an ideal option for homes with different types of flooring but its dependence on a Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) could make it less flexible than other robots that let you add your own solutions.
