Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more adept, passing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.
When I tested the S1, it was able to map the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or carpets.

After vacuum bot mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting clogged up with dirt or dust. However, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot has an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or refilled. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung up on the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can control by defining a virtual boundary within the application). Its mopping is quite good as well, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station as required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well by avoiding pet hairs as well as other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent, navigating narrow spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can go from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings as well as view 3-D and 2D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for live video surveillance. You will require a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always reach every last bit of dust. That's why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It is simple to connect it to your home WiFI network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen in this price range even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have issues with high-pile carpets or area rug, but it was unable to pick up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums cannot. The device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. This robot can also detect carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you would like the robot to avoid using the app.
